iPlayer Goes To Eleven

The BBC has finally relaunched the iPlayer service, using a browser-based Flash player to support multiple operating systems. They should’ve implemented that simple option first (as many people suggested) instead of spending years on a client application that ISPs will nobble, but then it’s hardly surprising from an organisation that’s forced its web developers to resort to Perl on Rails.

Anyway, the Flash player is fine, and it seems whoever coded the volume control is a big Spinal Tap fan:
