Flash the Cash

A suggestion for anyone looking to hire a firm to produce a web site (or other creative work, I suppose): don’t ask for specific price quotes.

Instead, provide an indication of your budget & priorities/aspirations and ask what can be done with the cash available, otherwise firms simply fiddle their figures to add up to what they think your budget is. Everyone has finite resources and a rough figure in mind for their project, so why not ditch the guessing games and be open about it?

I've definitely seen the truth in this coming from both sides. Good suggestion.
