Blogging Birthday
Well, I completely missed this weblog’s first anniversary/birthday at the start of the month. I’ll have to make a grovelling apology and buy it flowers.
Despite the huge amount of time it’s taken to produce around 180 entries, it’s been worthwhile. Traffic to this site is now 3 or 4 times greater than it was pre-weblog, although I’m barely nipping at the heels of the ‘Z List’. I’ve learned a lot, particularly about SEO subtleties, and have had some great responses from readers.
The mix of practical web development geekery (e.g. see ‘Hints and Tips’) and miscellaneous rambling (e.g. ‘Daftness’) still feels a little awkward, but I suppose it’s a true reflection of my thought processes. If you’re new to the site, you might want to have a rummage in the archive or try some random entries.
