Web server logs

Standard logs are kept, covering information such as the resource requested, the time of the request, the referring web site, the type of browser used and IP address. These are only used for generating site activity reports and spotting any malicious behaviour.

In addition, Google Analytics is currently used for monitoring site traffic; see their privacy policy for details of what is stored and analysed.

Cookies

No browser cookies are used by this site, but Google Analytics sets cookies which are used to identify unique visitors.

Contact form

Any information submitted via the form, emailed directly or sent via instant messaging is only used to respond in ways appropriate to the enquiry. Specific permission will be sought before using such information in any other way (e.g. publication online). Information is never sold or used for bulk marketing.

Weblog comments

By submitting any comments, you’re agreeing to their non-exclusive publication on this site. As well as name, URL and comment, your IP address and browser details are logged. Any comments considered unsuitable (e.g. due to abusive language or sheer irrelevance) may be partially or wholly deleted, and such abuse may result in a ban from commenting.
